Kate Blackwell

Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Kate Blackwell worked as a journalist, free-lance writer, and editor before turning full-time to fiction. Her story collection, You Won’t Remember This, was published in 2007 by Southern Methodist University Press. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals and several anthologies. In addition to fiction, she writes books reviews and has published travel articles. She is the recipient of fellowships at the MacDowell Colony and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. Kate lives in Washington, DC.
