Elizabeth Foxwell

Elizabeth Foxwell is managing editor of Clues: A Journal of Detection, the only U.S. scholarly journal on mystery and detective fiction, and coauthor (with Dean James) of The Robert B. Parker Companion. Her new collection of historical mystery short stories, No Man’s Land and Other Stories, includes the Agatha Award-winning “No Man’s Land” and the Cape Fear Festival prize-winning “Keeper of the Flame.” She edits the McFarland Companions to Mystery Fiction series and also serves as staff editor for The Catholic Historical Review, an academic journal on the history of the church. A cofounder of the Bethesda-based mystery convention Malice Domestic and editor of several mystery anthologies, Foxwell received the George N. Dove Award from the Popular Culture Association’s Detective/Mystery Caucus for her contributions to the serious study of mystery and crime fiction. She blogs on mystery history at The Bunburyist.
