How long you’ve been around: Since July 1997; I [Courtney Velker Oakley] joined in January 2001.

How many members: 12.

Book you’re currently reading: TransAtlantic by Colum McCann.

Book you last read: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

Book that’s up next: Plainsong by Kent Haruf.

Since your inception, the book that has generated the strongest (good, bad, or otherwise) reaction: The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler caused the most lively discussion.

The secret to your club’s success: We talk about everything and eventually get around to discussing the book.
