About the Washington Independent Review of Books Annual Conference

The Independent’s Washington Writers Conference connects agents and authors while learning from published writers, agents, and publishers. Breakout sessions on publishing, agenting, fiction and non-fiction run concurrently with the day-long agent pitches.

Testimonial from a past attendee:

Within a year of my attending the 2013 Washington Independent Review of Books Symposium, my book is on track for publication. Without the insights I gained in the interviews with book agents, the panel presentations, and the symposium networking,  I would not have found such a reputable publisher and recognition for my work.
