Meet John Copenhaver, Sherry Harris, and Tara Laskowski

Meet three DC-area mystery authors as they interview each other, answer your questions, and sign books!

JOHN COPENHAVER is the recipient of an Artist Fellowship from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities for four consecutive years. In 2015, he launched and continues to maintain a crime fiction column for the Lambda Literary website called “Blacklight.” His short fiction has appeared in Glitterwolf MagazineRoanoke Review, and Gaslight, the Lambda Emerging Voices Anthology. Dodging and Burning, his debut novel, was nominated for the 2019 Barry, Lambda Literary, Strand, Macavity, and Anthony awards.

SHERRY HARRIS is the author of Agatha Award-nominated Best First Novel Tagged for Death, as well as The Longest Yard SaleAll Murders Final!; A Good Day to Buy, and I Know What You Bid Last Summer in the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mystery series. Sherry’s love of garage sales, her life as an Air Force spouse, and her time living in Massachusetts inspired this mystery series. She is an independent editor for writers, a member of Sisters in Crime, and blogs with New England mystery writers at WickedCozyAuthors.com.

TARA LASKOWSKI is the award-winning author of two short story collections, Modern Manners for Your Inner Demons and Bystanders, which The Guardian named a best book of 2017. She has had stories published in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine and Mid-American Review, among others, and is the editor of SmokeLong Quarterly. Tara earned a BA in English from Susquehanna University and an MFA from George Mason University and currently lives in Virginia. One Night Gone is her first novel.
