Authors on Audio: Gene Andrew Jarrett

Dean of the Faculty and William S. Tod Professor of English at Princeton University, Gene Andrew Jarrett is also the author of Representing the Race: A New Political History of African American Literature and Deans and Truants: Race and Realism in African American Literature. His new book is Paul Laurence Dunbar: The Life and Times of a Caged Bird, which Publishers Weekly calls “a fascinating exploration of Black creativity wrestling with social constraints and personal failings.” Jarrett discussed Paul Laurence Dunbar with fellow BIO member Kevin McGruder in December.
