A biologist by profession, Mara Fitzgerald is also author of the queer YA fantasy Beyond the Ruby Veil (the first in a duology), which Kirkus calls “a fast-paced debut that reaches spectacularly bloody heights.” Fitzgerald discussed the book with WYPL’s Stephen Usery in early January.
