A.M. Homes in Conversation with Maureen Corrigan

Imagine going out on your weekly shopping trip and being nominated for president by the other customers at the big box store. Or attending a conference on genocide(s), running into an old friend, and reconnecting over ancient traditions. With her signature humor, incisive satire, and compassion, Homes takes the unlikely details of modern life and turns them into compelling and insightful short stories. Bold and always surprising, Homes, also a contributing editor to Vanity Fair and co-executive producer of Falling Water and Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes, has turned out a string of wry and wonderfully strange books since the early 1990s. Her most recent novel, May We Be Forgiven, won the 2013 Women’s Prize. Homes will be in conversation with Maureen Corrigan, book critic for NPR’s Fresh Air.

At Politics and Prose, 5015 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Click here for info.
