Join host Glo Shines for some spoken-word fun in DC on Tues., Dec. 26th, at 8 p.m.!

Tuesday-Night Open Mic

A Busboys and Poetry Event hosted this week by Glo Shines!

Glo Shines is a poet, emcee, host, and supplier of vibes. A hip-Hopper since a toddler, Glo composed her first raps at the age of 4. Poetry and spoken-word came many years later. As a performer, she brings an intangible energy that engages and informs her audience. She was featured at such national venues as Nicolas Bookstore in Brooklyn, Tuesday Verses in Richmond, and at Wednesday Verses, Honfleur Gallery, Big Chief, Ivy City Smokehouse in Washington, DC, and the renowned Apache Café in Atlanta.

For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices and a vast array of professional spoken-word performers, open-mic rookies, musicians, and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all, come with an open mind and ear.

$5 + tax and fees online. $8 (tax and fees included) at the door. Wristbands are available for purchase online at midnight and in the restaurant starting at 10 a.m. No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of four per person. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event.
