Nicholas Dawidoff in Conversation with Kevin Young
This is a free in-person event, and seating is first come, first served.

The Other Side of Prospect: A Story of Violence, Injustice, and the American City is the immersive story of a 2006 murder in New Haven, just blocks away from Yale University, and the innocent 16-year-old boy named Bobby who’s coerced into confession and sentenced to prison for 38 years. A lawyer who discovered his case miraculously helped win his release in 2015, only for Bobby to face heartbreaking challenges on reentry into society. Through Bobby’s experience, Dawidoff, a Pulitzer Prize finalist and New Haven native, tells a wider story of the tangled legacy of the Great Migration, the hardships of severe deindustrialization in American cities, gun violence, incarceration, and inequality in America.

Hosted by Politics and Prose, 5015 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Learn more here.
