Enjoy author signings, wine tasting, board games, and more all day this Sat., Aug. 17th, in Arlington, VA!
Join us in the first ever national observance of Bookstore Romance Day! Indies all across the country will be celebrating romance novels and the authors who write them.
We'll be hosting "A Carnival of Love" all day, complete with cotton candy, sno cones, and prizes! We start with a morning mimosa tasting, follwed by an afternoon romance panel, "Sips and Swoons" cocktails, and an evening tournament of the Pride & Prejudice themed board game Marrying Mr. Darcy! With giveaways throughout the day, quizzes to help you find your new favorite romance novel, and your favorite romance booksellers battling it out over their favorite selections, it's going be an amazing day!
11 AM - 12 PM: Mimosa Tasting - We'll pair some of our favorite sparkling wines with different juices to see which couplings have the best chemistry. (It's free!)
12 PM - 3 PM: Romance Scavenger Hunts & Battle of the Books - Drop in throughout the afternoon for a fun, easy scavenger hunt, or listen to our staff pitch their favorite romance novels in the Battle of the Books!
4 PM: Romance Roundtable Panel with Grace Burrowes, Harper Kincaid, & Juno Rushdan (moderated by Kini Allen) - Get a taste of different subgenres with these fabulous romance authors, including a historical romance, romantic suspense, and a sweet contemporary novel.

4 - 6 PM: Sips & Swoons Wine and Cocktail Tasting - In conjunction with our author panel, we'll feature a free wine tasting with signature cocktails inspired by each book.
6 PM: Board Game Tournament for Marrying Mr. Darcy - We'll have a couple tables going with rounds of this delightful Pride & Prejudice themed board game. It's free to join in!
