The author of In Pain: A Bioethicist's Personal Struggle with Opioids comes to Baltimore on Mon., Sept. 30th, at 7PM!

Meet Travis Rieder

Join us at Baltimore County Public Library’s Parkville Branch to hear Travis Rieder discuss his new book In Pain: A Bioethicist's Personal Struggle with Opioids.

In Pain is a bioethicist’s eloquent and riveting memoir of opioid dependence and withdrawal — a harrowing personal reckoning and clarion call for change not only for government but medicine itself, revealing the lack of crucial resources and structures to handle this insidious nationwide epidemic.

Travis Rieder, PhD, is the Assistant Director for Education Initiatives, Director of the Master of Bioethics degree program, and Research Scholar at the Berman Institute of Bioethics. He is also a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for Public Health Advocacy within the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

At the Baltimore County Public Library Parkville Branch, 9509 Harford Rd., Parkville, MD. Click here for info.
