Chris Pavone in Conversation with Karen Cleveland

  • May 5, 2019

The author of The Paris Diversion comes to DC on Tues., May 7th, at 7PM!

Chris Pavone in Conversation with Karen Cleveland

In his fourth suspense novel, Pavone revisits some of the characters that made his literary debut, 2012’s The Expats — winner of both the Edgar and Anthony Awards for best first novel — so memorable. Kate Moore is living with her family in Paris, tending to ordinary events like dinner parties as well as running a clandestine cadre of CIA operatives, while her husband, a financial systems expert, plays with risky investments. Then one day a suicide bomber appears at the Louvre. Kate waits for orders from Langley, but communication is cut off. Working with a French agent, she tries to discover who’s behind the attack — and if the real danger is the bomber or something even more serious.

Pavone will be in conversation with Karen Cleveland, author of the thrillers Need to Know and Keep You Close, forthcoming later this month from Ballantine.
