An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.
Texas native Tracy Daugherty is the award-winning author of multiple works across several genres, including the novels 148 Charles Street and Tales from the Bayou City and the nonfiction titles The Last Love Song: A Biography of Joan Didion and Just One Catch: A Biography of Joseph Heller. His latest book, also a biography, is Larry McMurtry: A Life, which Booklist says, “blends authoritative research with resplendent prose, providing absorbing detail to illuminate how McMurtry’s childhood, academic career, domestic life, and friendships shaped his personality and work.”
Daugherty recently discussed Larry McMurtry: A Life with author/attorney Talmage Boston. Listen to the podcast here.
