Authors on Audio: Jon Meacham

Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham is the author of multiple bestselling books, including The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels, The Hope of Glory: Reflections on the Last Words of Jesus from the Cross, and Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest, and the Music That Made a Nation. His new work is And There Was Light: Abraham Lincoln and the American Struggle, which Henry Louis Gates Jr. says “brilliantly interweaves the best of gripping narrative history with a deeper search for the complex interplay among morality, politics, and power in a life, in a democracy, and in an America ripped apart over slavery.”

Meacham recently discussed And There Was Light with author/attorney Talmage Boston. Listen to the podcast here.
