Meet Michelle Brafman and Mary Kay Zuravleff

Join us at C. Burr Artz Library as we welcome Michelle Brafman and Mary Kay Zuravleff to Frederick. Michelle and Mary Kay will discuss their latest novels, answer questions, and sign books. This event is free and open to the public. Hosted in partnership with Frederick County Public Libraries

Featured Titles:

Swimming with Ghosts: From the acclaimed author of Washing the Dead and Bertrand Court comes a satirical and chilling yet deeply sensitive tale that captures the ethos and ruin of children’s competitive swimming, where parents must face the haunting spirits of their own tumultuous upbringings or risk losing their way and — in turn — themselves.

American Ending: In this immersive novel, Zuravleff weaves Russian fairytales and fables into a family saga within the storied American landscape. The challenges facing immigrants — and the fragility of citizenship — are just as unsettling and surprising today as they were 100 years ago. American Ending is a poignant reminder that everything that is happening in America has already happened.
