Lindsey Phillips

Lindsey Phillips is a freelance editor and writer in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Prior to moving to Northern Virginia, she taught composition and literature courses at Florida State University. Her articles have been published in the Journal of American Studies and Migration Information Source. Lindsey earned a B.A. in English from Georgia Southwestern State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English literature from Florida State University. Her research on the Caribbean, African diaspora, immigration, and food has dramatically improved her recipes in the kitchen and introduced her to capoeira, a Brazilian martial art.
