Alex Rough

Alex Rough, media coordinator for the Independent, is a voracious reader and aspiring author working on his first series of sci-fi short stories. Working in the nonprofit sector, Alex has helped manage social-media campaigns and has authored blogs and other online material pertaining to renewable energy and environmental issues. Keen on living a healthy lifestyle, he enjoys exercise (preferably outdoors). You can find him on any given weekend kayaking the Potomac or hiking the Shenandoah. Alex graduated with a B.A. in political science from Old Dominion University.
