- October 8, 2016
Let the experts behind the Washington Writers Conference show you how to market your masterpiece!
Indie authors and the traditionally published alike do almost all of their own publicity. So how do you get your book noticed? What works? What should be done pre- and post-publication? Writer and former ASJA president Salley Shannon will outline the basics of a publication plan, defining your target audience and what goes in a press kit. Other presenters include Monica Bhide, a social-media expert and author of Karma and the Art of Butter Chicken; Danielle Tate, an entrepreneur who scored a review in Forbes of her self-published Elegant Entrepreneur; Austin S. Camacho, owner of Intrigue Publishing LLC and author of Successfully Marketing Your Novel in the 21st Century; and journalist Alicia Shepard, former NPR ombudsman.
