Katy Tur in Conversation with Jake Sherman

Part of the NBC News team reporting on the 2016 Presidential campaign, Tur was assigned at the start of the primaries to cover Trump. She was on the story for more than sixteen months, following the volatile candidate and meeting his white middle- and working-class base. Her detailed, behind-the-scenes account, Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History, is a revealing look at the election process, at Trump, and at the role of the media in American politics. As one of the few millennial women reporters on the campaign trail, Tur is especially insightful about the election’s divisiveness. She herself was alternately courted and harassed by Trump, and her poise and professionalism won her the support of thousands of viewers who tweeted #imwithtur.

Tur will be in conversation with Jake Sherman, senior writer for Politico and co-author of their morning newsletter Playbook.
