Retired Marine lieutenant colonel H. Ripley Rawlings IV published his debut military thriller, Red Metal (co-written with Mark Greaney), in 2019. He’s now back with his first solo effort, Assault by Fire: A Tyce Asher Novel. The Real Book Spy calls Assault by Fire “a high powered thriller that should connect with fans...as terrifying as it is unputdownable.” Rawlings discussed his new book with WYPL early last month.
