On Saturday, June 1st, MahoganyBooks in Anacostia, Washington, DC will be hosting a special storytime and book signing event with author Ashley Iman to celebrate the release of her new children's book "Ruby René Had So Much to Say." This exciting event is the perfect opportunity for families with young children aged 0-10 to come out and enjoy a delightful reading of this charming new picture book. Ashley Iman, a former teacher and lifelong learner, has crafted a wonderful story about a curious student named Ruby René who loves to share all the fascinating facts and information she's learned, even though her teacher sometimes finds her chattiness disruptive. Through this heartwarming tale, Iman celebrates the power of owning your voice and turning challenges into opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to hear Iman read from her book and meet the author in person during the book signing. The event kicks off at 2 pm, with doors opening at 1:30 pm, so families are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats. Only books purchased at MahoganyBooks will be signed, so be sure to pick up your copy ahead of time. Parking is limited, so ridesharing is highly recommended. Masks are optional, and photographs may be taken during the event without flash. This special storytime is a must-attend event for any family looking to introduce their little ones to an inspiring new children's book and meet the talented author behind it. Don't miss out on this wonderful celebration of literacy, creativity, and the joy of learning.
