Kennedy Ryan, a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, is joining Busboys and Poets Books for a presentation of her latest novel, "This Could Be Us." The event will take place on May 17, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the 14th & V location in Washington, D.C. Ryan will be accompanied by DC-area influencer and content creator Talia Cadet, and they will discuss the state of the romance genre and Ryan's new book. "This Could Be Us" is a heart-searing, sensual, and life-affirming novel that follows the story of Soledad Barnes, a domestic goddess whose life is turned upside down by betrayal and disillusion. As she rebuilds her life and rediscovers herself, an unlikely man enters the picture, challenging her to trust again. The event offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from the author about her writing process, inspiration, and the themes explored in the novel. Attendees will also gain insights into the current state of the romance genre from both Ryan and Cadet, who has a dedicated following for her book recommendations and literary content. Additionally, copies of "This Could Be Us" and other titles by Kennedy Ryan will be available for purchase and signing after the program. The event is free and open to all, providing a chance to engage with a bestselling author and connect with fellow book lovers in the community.
