INARA: A Queer and Trans Palestinian Utopia Anthology is a groundbreaking collection that unites the voices of queer and trans-Palestinians from around the world, contributing to a vibrant mosaic set in a liberated Falasteen. This anthology melds poetry, short stories, essays, visual art, and photography into a singular vision of freedom, love, and belonging, showcasing the resilience and beauty of the Palestinian queer and trans community. It invites readers into a utopia crafted from dreams of liberation, where the streets of historic cities resonate with the joyous laughter of those long silenced. The event on May 15, 2024, at Busboys and Poets Books in Washington, D.C., presents a unique opportunity to explore this visionary anthology and engage with its creator, the acclaimed poet and activist Mx. Yaffa. Mx. Yaffa will share their labor of love, INARA: LIGHT OF UTOPIA, which brings together a wide cast of queer and trans-Palestinians from around the world filled with yearning and hope for a free Falasteen. Attendees will have the chance to purchase copies of the anthology and have them signed by Mx. Yaffa, who is a disabled, autistic, trans, queer, Muslim, and indigenous Palestinian. The event promises to be a celebration of identity, a defiant cry for freedom, and a beacon of hope for a reimagined world where liberation has no cost and love is in abundance. Mx. Yaffa's extensive work in mutual aid, community care, and advocacy for marginalized communities, combined with their artistic and storytelling talents, make this event a unique opportunity to engage with a powerful voice championing the cause of queer and trans-Palestinians.
