East City Bookshop is hosting an Emily Henry-themed happy hour on Tuesday, April 23rd to celebrate the release of Henry's new book, Funny Story. The event will feature refreshments, themed games and activities, and exclusive signed editions of the book available on a first-come, first-serve basis. While Emily Henry will not be in attendance, the bookshop invites the public to join them in celebrating the author and her latest work. Funny Story is a shimmering, joyful new novel about a pair of opposites with the wrong thing in common. The event is scheduled to run for 1 hour, starting at 5 pm EDT. East City Bookshop is located at 645 Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast ##100 in Washington, DC 20003. Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the bookshop will be following public health guidance to ensure the safety of customers, authors, and staff.
