The Authors & Insights Series: A Conversation with Katie Rogers is an upcoming event on April 16, 2024, from 6-7:45 pm EDT on the 8th Floor of the Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C. At this event, New York Times White House Correspondent Katie Rogers will discuss her new book "American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden" with Anita McBride, author of "Remember the First Ladies" and former chief of staff to First Lady Laura Bush. The event will begin with a reception and book signing, followed by the author conversation and Q&A session. Afterward, there will be another book signing and reception. This event is free and open to the general public, faculty, staff, and students, but registration is required. The event will not be live-streamed. The discussion will explore how America's First Ladies have used their influence over the years, from supporting their husbands' campaigns to playing a pivotal role in driving policy. This is part of the Authors & Insights series, which features in-depth conversations with compelling authors and thinkers on important issues.
