Are you a reading enthusiast in your 20s or 30s? The Capitol Hill Interesting Literature League for Young Professionals book club (CHILLY Ps) is aimed at readers in their 20s and 30s and discusses recent award-winning or nominated titles.

** Please note, starting in February 2024, CHILLY Ps will meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month instead of the first.

About the Hosts:

Meredith is a North Carolina native who has lived in the DC area for over a decade and Capitol Hill for 5+ years. She likes reading books, talking about books, watching movies and TV based on books, and cooking along with books. A few of her favorites are A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Phantom Tollbooth, and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Mihret has lived in DC for only a couple of years but spent most of her childhood in nearby MD. Although trying to diversify her reading list, she reads mostly historical fiction and dystopian fiction. Her all-time favorite books include Pachinko, The Vanishing Half, and 1Q84.

Sean is a lover of good books, warm coffee, and boisterous dinner parties. If you lose him in a bookstore, you're most likely to find him perusing historical fiction, mysteries, or the latest cookbook. A few of his favorite recent reads include A Gentleman in Moscow, Still Life, Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, and Snacking Cakes.
