The local chapter of the Bushwick Book Club celebrates the joyous intersection of indie artists and book nerds where a group of artists read a particular book and each create a new piece inspired by that book. For the end of Banned Books Week, we're doing a show inspired by Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury's prescient 1953 sci-fi novel about book banning/burning. The show will feature new music by local musicians Ari Voxx, Boy Meets Pearl, Juels Bland, Lou Black, Safety Bear, and SqueazyE, and new short film and animation by local filmmakers Paris Preston and Kerri Sheehan. Doors at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13 and available online and at the door. |
