BARR will open with presentations from several authors who will share intimate details of the how, where, and why of the books they write! The Keynote Speaker is author and storyteller extraordinaire Joan Vassar ... who writes narratives that bring to life the African American experience, both past and present. Also on board are authors:Brian W. Smith, Trice Hickman, Keith Kareem Williams, Sylvia Hubbard, Gregory Morris, Carla Makell, Pam Coleman, J.A. Faulkerson, Debra Owsley, Marilyn Walker, Cherrie Woods, and Victoria Adams-Kennedy along with other authors from the Zora’s Den Writer’s Group, a sisterhood of Black women writers. Friday, October 6: 2 to 6 pm Individual presentations and panel discussions (tba) with light refreshments. Saturday, October 7: 10 am to 4 pm: The BARR Author Expo will open ... attendees can browse, mingle, buy books, and enjoy a great lunch and panel discussion. We look forward to seeing you there! |
