Feel the Russian roots planted in early 20th-century Pennsylvania coal country come to life in words and song as DC writer Mary Kay Zuravleff takes us on a personal journey of family, fate, and love as she read from her 4th and highly acclaimed new novel, American Ending. Superb Slavic choral group Slaveya will accompany and immerse us in a very American story of Russian immigrants working in a new land fortified by the art and strength of their homeland culture. This Inaugural Redeemer Bethesda Book Series event will take place in our dramatic yet simple church space recognized for its excellent acustical properties that will perfectly merge Mary Kay's narrative with the music and heart of her heritage and writing.
