An accomplished author, activist, analyst, commentator, educator, entrepreneur, and faith leader, Cook is proof that difficulties can be overcome and that women can become stronger through the challenges of raising a family, holding down a job, and just getting through the long days. In this inspiring devotional, Cook draws on her own experiences and the stories of woman of many different backgrounds who have faced and triumphed over life’s adversities. The U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom under President Obama and a White House Fellow under President Clinton, Cook continues her work of building solidarity among oppressed women and women of color. Cook will be in conversation with Rob Schenck, author of Costly Grace.
