Panel in the Spotlight: “Building Your Writing Community”

Putting words on the page is a solitary pursuit, but we can go farther when supported by fellow travelers! In “Building Your Writing Community,” one of the many excellent panels at the 2023 Washington Writers Conference, moderator/author Tara Campbell leads a conversation about finding such a community with Myna Chang, an editor, interviewer, and author of the flash-fiction collection The Potential of Radio and Rain; Amy Freeman, development director at the Writer’s Center in Bethesda, MD, and a writer for a variety of publications; and Melanie S. Hatter, a participant in the PEN/Faulkner Writers in Schools program and winner of the inaugural Kimbilio national fiction prize for her novel, Malawi’s Sisters.

Afterward, stick around to buy (and have them sign) their latest titles from our official bookseller, DC indie Solid State Books!

The 2023 Washington Writers Conference takes place May 12-13 in Rockville, MD. Spots are going fast, so REGISTER NOW!
