The Pulitzer-winning novelist comes to DC this Sat., Jan. 16th, at 3:30PM.

Elizabeth Strout in Conversation with Tayla Burney

Acclaimed from the very beginning, Strout won the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction with Amy and Isabelle and the Pulitzer for her third novel, Olive Kitteridge. With her fifth novel, My Name Is Lucy Barton, she has created a dynamic, engaging storyteller in the eponymous Lucy, a successful writer and mother of two — but, to her own mother, still just a defiant child. As Lucy recovers from unexpectedly complicated surgery, her estranged mother visits, and together the two relive the past and struggle to repair a relationship that means a lot to both of them. Strout will be in conversation with Tayla Burney, a producer and books editor at WAMU’s "The Kojo Nnamdi Show."
