An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

Authors on Audio: Sara Fitzgerald

University of Michigan alumna and retired journalist Sara Fitzgerald, who spent most of her career at the Washington Post, is also an award-winning author of both fiction and nonfiction. Her new book is Conquering Heroines: How Women Fought Sex Bias at Michigan and Paved the Way for Title IX, which feminist scholar Jo Freeman calls “an excellent case study of a nationwide problem.” Fitzgerald recently discussed Conquering Heroines with U-M’s Deborah Holdship.
