An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

Authors on Audio: Mateo Askaripour

A former sales director for a tech company, as well as a freelance writer, Mateo Askaripour is also author of the debut novel Black Buck, which Entertainment Weekly calls “a combination of character study, searing indictment of all the problematics of white corporate culture, and some good old-fashioned enjoyable sarcasm.” Askaripour discussed the book with WYPL’s Stephen Usery in February.

[Editor's note: Mateo Askaripour will appear at this year's all-virtual Gaithersburg Book Festival on Sat., May 1st, at 5 p.m. (EDT)!]
