One of the greatest advantages of the internet is the ability to interact with others online. Here at the Washington Independent Review of Books, we want to do everything we can to encourage discussion and engagement about books, authors, reading, writing, publishing, and of course the subject matter of the books we review.

Disqus, our commenting system, is one of the primary mechanisms for such discussion and engagement, and we want to ensure that all of our readers understand how to use it. So I’ve made a screencast video, which you can watch below, demonstrating how to use Disqus and highlighting some of its features, as well as providing tips.

You know you’ve got something to say. (Why, even that weird, faceless Lego Man-esque guy above has something to say, though I can’t quite make out what it is.) So go ahead - don’t be shy - engage with us!
