Courtney LeBlanc and Dan Brady are the featured readers, plus literary trivia quiz and a brief open-mic. Courtney LeBlanc is the author of four full-length collections, most recently Her Dark Everything. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Riot in Your Throat, an independent poetry press, and Poetry Coven, a monthly generative workshop. She loves pitbulls, tattoos, and a soy latte each morning. Find her online at www.courtneyleblanc.com. Dan Brady is the author of the poetry collections Strange Children, Subtexts, and Songs in E——, winner of the Barclay Prize for Poetry, and two chapbooks. Previously, he served as the editor of American Poets, the journal of the Academy of American Poets. Dan is also the recipient of a Distinguished Service Award from the NEA for his work on the Big Read, the largest community-reading initiative in U.S. history. He is the poetry editor of Barrelhouse and lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and two kids. |
