Calling American history buffs, mystery lovers, and National Treasure fans alike! We are thrilled to host Matthew Landis, middle-grade author of National Archive Hunters: Capitol Chase (ages 8-12), the first in a fast-paced new mystery series set in the middle of Washington DC.

Not surprisingly, the book was one of the biggest sellers off our Summer Reading Guide: a twisty thriller about brother and sister twins who attempt to chase down the suspect of a series of artifact heists in order to clear their own names as the FBI’s primary suspects. To solve the mystery, Carter and Iris will need a combination of Revolutionary War trivia and athletic prowess like only they can deliver!

A full-time middle school teacher, Matt will dish on real (and made up!) history that inspired this new adventure series, quiz the crowd with some lively trivia (with PRIZES!) and share how he makes the past come alive in his classroom and books. Following the event, Matt will personalize and sign copies of the book.
