Sidney Morrison’s new novel about one of history’s– and Baltimore history’s– greatest, takes the spotlight in this event on September 24th at the Ivy’s back patio. Frederick Douglass: A Novel portrays Douglass’ life in the richness of its conflict, drama, suspense, and ordinary interpersonal interactions, alongside the familiar, astonishing arc from enslavement to abolitionist public figure, journalist, and politician. Join us for an evening to hear from the author about the making of the novel, to learn about this historical figure with an important Baltimore chapter, and to ask your own questions! |
