Harvard Book Store's virtual event series and Boston Review welcome celebrated scholars ELIZABETH HINTON, ROBIN D.G. KELLEY, KEEANGA-YAMAHTTA TAYLOR, and CORNEL WEST for a panel discussion of the Black Lives Matter movement and the ongoing work of dismantling white supremacy in America. This panel will be moderated by BRANDON TERRY, Assistant Professor of African and African American Studies and Social Studies at Harvard University.

Fundraiser for Black Lives

All proceeds generated from the sale of books—and from audience donations upon registration—will be divided equally and distributed to three fundraising organizations selected by our panelists:

Critical Resistance: "Critical Resistance seeks to build an international movement to end the Prison Industrial Complex by challenging the belief that caging and controlling people makes us safe. We believe that basic necessities such as food, shelter, and freedom are what really make our communities secure. As such, our work is part of global struggles against inequality and powerlessness." National Bail Out: "The National Bail Out collective is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration. We are people who have been impacted by cages—either by being in them ourselves or witnessing our families and loved ones be encaged. We are queer, trans, young, elder, and immigrant."
