For Summer Challenge, we want you to take a little bit of time each day to read, but we also want you to aim high with your reading and connect with others by reading good books. This summer, we have chosen one book each month for you to read from our online collection to read and discuss. On the last Thursday of the month, we will host an online discussion lead by DC Public Library staff and friends.

Our June title is Booker Prize winner Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo. Read the book and then join us on Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. for a live discussion, details soon to come. We will share discussion questions and ideas throughout the month, but we invite you to begin with these discussion questions from the publisher Grove Atlantic.

We will be joined by special guests Lupita Aquino of Lupita Reads and Dana Williams of Howard University. Email [email protected] for details on how to join the discussion.
