Meet author Stephanie Land at this January 29 event, hosted by Curious Iguana in C. Burr Artz Library’s Community Room, 110 East Patrick Street, Downtown Frederick. This event will feature Stephanie Land in conversation with Dorian Warren, president of Community Change. Evicted meets Nickel and Dimed in Land’s powerful memoir about working as a maid, a beautiful and gritty exploration of poverty in America. The book, which includes a foreword by Barbara Ehrenreich, will be published by Hachette on January 22. Presented in partnership with Frederick County Public Libraries, the event is free; no registration required. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Pre-order your copy of Maid here, and Curious Iguana will donate $5 from each book sold to the City of Frederick Housing Authority. |
