During this event, Chrissy Macken, Founder of Blueprintgreen Career Coaching & Consulting will lead an activity on how entrepreneurs can create a concise, effective, and compelling “elevator pitch” about their business. Having a persuasive elevator pitch about your business is critical to spark interest in your business and make it easy for others to connect with how they or others can benefit from your services. You’ll leave this event with the perfect formula for your elevator pitch, and have the chance to get real-time feedback from other entrepreneurs in the room!

Chrissy Macken is the Founder of Blueprintgreen Career Coaching & Consulting, based in Washington, DC. As a Career Coach, she specializes in empowering high potential professionals in toxic work environments to reclaim their careers, transition into meaningful work that they love, and get paid what they’re worth. Chrissy is a passionate, lifelong learner, and all too familiar with holding jobs that are demoralizing and draining, that stymied her professional growth. Once she discovered how to rise above the the challenges within her work environment--by setting healthy boundaries, prioritizing herself, and being a fierce advocate for her own professional ambitions--she was able to build a career that is the best expression of her strengths and talents. Today, Chrissy is the go-to coach for building resiliency in toxic work environments, reclaiming a career of meaning and purpose, and achieving the compensation you deserve. In her volunteer time, Chrissy provides pro bono career coaching to recently resettled refugees through the Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area and is a volunteer coach through The Posse Foundation. She is an American Association of University Women Salary Negotiation Workshop Facilitator.

This group was created as a place to share jobs, ask questions and part knowledge in the freelance community. Freelancing Females is a global community of over 10,000 women redefining 9-5. It’s a place for designers, content creators, engineers, translators and more to share knowledge and discover new ways to freelance. The FF platform helps women empower themselves around personal businesses. Here we seek and offer advice, create experiences, host important conversations, collaborate on projects and post jobs on our platform. Leverage this group and fellow ladies as a resource and inspiration. We’re all here to help each other.
