The United Arab Emirates ambassador to Russia as well as the father of two young sons, Ghobash writes as much from a parental as from a diplomatic perspective. His heartfelt book is addressed to the next generation of Islamic leaders, and asks what it means to be a good Muslim in the modern world. Ghobash approaches this overarching question by looking at specific challenges, especially the dangers of extremism and religiously motivated violence, as well as the complexities of harmonizing faith with secular notions of democracy and freedom.
