Fall for the Book Kicks Off!

Journalist Beth Macy kicks off Fall for the Book’s spring programming next Monday, Feb. 5th, at 7 p.m., when she comes to the Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center in Fairfax, Virginia, to discuss her bestselling books Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company that Addicted America and Raising Lazarus: Hope, Justice, and the Future of America’s Overdose Crisis. The former inspired the popular Hulu series “Dopesick” starring Michael Keaton.

The free event is presented in partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and is the first of many offerings this year. Next up will be the second annual Mini Fest, headlined by Man Booker Prize-winning novelist Marlon James, on Feb. 22nd.

Fall for the Book is based at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Find its complete schedule here.
