An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

Authors on Audio: Aram Goudsouzian

The Bizot Family Professor of History at the University of Memphis, Aram Goudsouzian is also the author of multiple books, including King of the Court: Bill Russell and the Basketball Revolution and Down to the Crossroads: Civil Rights, Black Power, and the Meredith March Against Fear. His latest work is Man on a Mission: James Meredith and the Battle of Ole Miss, a middle-grade graphic novel. Fellow author and professor W. Ralph Eubanks says the book “seeks to expand the way we see Meredith and his long fight against the forces of white supremacy, making the story into one that is harder to simplify.” Goudsouzian discussed Man on a Mission with Stephen Usery in October.
