Charles Lane

Charles Lane, a member of The Washington Post editorial board, was a finalist for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize. He has previously served as the Post’s Supreme Court correspondent and editor of The New Republic, and is the author of The Day Freedom Died: The Colfax Massacre, the Supreme Court and the Betrayal of Reconstruction.
