Poetry Launch with Miko Reed Collins

From accomplished poet and spoken-word artist and DC native Miko Reed Collins comes an indelible collection of poetry and personal essays about love, relationships, heartache, and finding her identity through it all.

With the rhythm of Nikki Giovanni, Miko reckons with the pain of her past in her new book, Eggshells In Soft Black Hands. Her writing serves as a call to action to use our voice to heal from generational trauma. Authentic and relatable, Miko captures the delicacy of Black girls and shows us how she uses poetry to find the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Miko is a graduate of the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and a current student in the Johns Hopkins Master of Arts in Writing Program.
