Meet one of the agents attending the 2023 Washington Writers Conference!
Max Sinsheimer is one of the many agents who’ll be taking pitches at the 2023 Washington Writers Conference. Here are some things to know about him:
- Max exclusively represents adult nonfiction.
- He launched his Washington, DC-based agency, Sinsheimer Literary, after seven years as an editor with Oxford University Press.
- Max “loves working with journalists” and “welcomes scholarly works that I think can reach a crossover trade market.” (Learn more about his manuscript wish list here.)
- He offers this advice when pitching him: “Be specific and realistic, if a little optimistic, when discussing the market opportunity, and don’t try to make your book seem more trend-driven than it is.”
