Producer, journalist, and writer Denise Kiernan is the author, among other books, of The Girls of Atomic City and the New York Times bestselling The Last Castle. Publishers Weekly describes her new work, the Thanksgiving history We Gather Together: A Nation Divided, a President in Turmoil, and a Historic Campaign to Embrace Gratitude and Grace, as “packed with vivid character sketches, intriguing historical tidbits, and lucid meditations on the psychology of giving thanks.” Kiernan discussed We Gather Together with WYPL late last month.
